Discover techniques to make your own watercolour paints!  Hildegard's Paint Recipe is inspired by Hildegard of Bingen, a Benedictine Abbess born in 1098. She was among other things, a write, philosopher, mystic, visionary, and artist creating extraordinary manuscripts filled with stories and illustrations. In producing her artworks she made her own paint. This recipe is a modern adaptation of one she would have used.
