Canvas of hope: Saving the Wild Camel
Project type
Wildlife Artivism
Date
04/03/2026
Location
Washington DC
I created this vintage-inspired Mongolian postage stamp design in support of a conservation fundraiser for the critically endangered wild camel, a species with fewer than 1,000 individuals remaining in the wild.
Inspired by historic Mongolian stamp design, I wanted the piece to celebrate both the animal and its cultural context. The camel is pictured with a sprig of pea tree, one of its vital food sources framed in a bold, nostalgic composition.
This project supports the Wild Camel Protection Foundation and is part of the upcoming exhibition at the Embassy of Mongolia in Washington, DC.
